Located about an hour from Tiruvannamalai, Gingee Fort is unlike any other fort in India. Spread across three massive hills, it combines natural defenses with incredible military architecture.
When visitors first arrive, they are often surprised by the sheer size of the fort complex. The giant stone walls, ancient gateways, and towering hills immediately transport you back several centuries.

Our adventure begins at Rajagiri, the largest and most impressive hill within the fort complex. As we start climbing, I will point out ancient military structures and explain how soldiers defended the fort from attackers.
As we journey through the grounds today, here are the key highlights you won't want to miss: First, look up at The Massive Entrance Gate, designed specifically to leave visitors in awe and make enemies think twice before attacking. As we move inside, you'll see the Ancient Granaries—enormous structures that kept the entire kingdom fed during prolonged enemy sieges. It wasn't all warfare, though; the elegant Marriage Hall offers a stunning glimpse into the softer, royal celebrations held within these walls. Finally, we will visit the Gymnasium and Training Areas, the historic grounds where the fort's elite warriors once trained and prepared for battle."

Next, we explore Krishnagiri, commonly known as Rani Hill. This hill offers a different perspective of the fort and provides some of the most beautiful views of Rajagiri.
