Founded in 1968 by Mirra Alfassa, known as "The Mother," Auroville was envisioned as a place where people could live beyond nationality, religion, politics, and social divisions. Every time I bring visitors here, they are surprised by the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful green landscapes, and inspiring vision behind this extraordinary community.
